Our Experience

We stayed in one of the four rentals available at Paso Fino Yoga Farm called, The Barns. This rental space used to be an actual working barn many years ago. The barn has since been converted into an adorable two-bedroom apartment. It was such a unique stay. With original stonewalls and split barn doors, it has an almost medieval vibe. Some would say unlucky, but lucky for us it started raining soon after we arrived. If you have never experienced a rainstorm in the middle of the Costa Rican jungle, then immediately put it on your bucket list! It adds such an unexplainable calmness to everything.

After we parked our rental car we met up with owner, Chaca who gave us a brief rundown of the property. We immediately felt like family rather than customers. She also gave us a locals perspective on some of the best places to eat. We highly recommend stopping in for some pizza, wine and tapas at Che Pizza. This restaurant was adorable, the service was impeccable and the food was delicious!

After dinner, we had the privilege of sitting in on a sunset yoga class taught by Yani Rochi. It does not get much better than sunset yoga next to a giant spring fed pool with a bird’s eye view of the valley in the middle of Costa Rica! It was a great way to end our day at Paso Fino Yoga Farm.

The next morning, Chaca and her mother treated us to a delicious traditional Costa Rican breakfast. I cannot think of a better way to end our time at Paso Fino Yoga Farm. It truly encompassed the entire energy of this place, unsurpassed hospitality, authentic and harmonious. Unfortunately, we only planned one night but highly recommend planning at least two.
