There are many shuttle services conveniently located at the bottom of the mountain. Upon reaching the area where you’ll make the final ascent, rest assured that friendly guides and staff members will be on hand to assist you, making the transition to the next leg of your expedition effortless.
As we discovered through a few challenging moments, if you opt to rent a car, parking in the shuttle lot is not permitted. Instead, you’ll need to venture a short distance further to reach the staff parking area. While this parking option is free, we found that it was somewhat unconventional, and locating it proved to be a bit of a treasure hunt. Our difficulties may have arisen from our inability to effectively communicate with the workers, leading to a game of charades that left both sides increasingly frustrated.
The thought of using a translation app did cross our minds, but unfortunately, we hadn’t planned ahead and downloaded offline versions, (we had zero service) making us feel somewhat like novices in that moment. Rookie mistake on our part.
Following our quest to secure suitable parking, we were promptly directed to a shuttle for the final stretch of our journey. As you ascend the mountain roads, a sense of anticipation fills the air. The temperature gradually drops, and the landscape undergoes a remarkable transformation.
